BN PRO Metered – Intelligent energy and residual current monitoring for professional IT environments
The BN PRO Metered is a powerful Power Distribution Unit (PDU) for use in data centers and demanding server environments. It records all relevant energy and power data per phase – with 32-amp variants even per breaker. This allows precise monitoring of load distributions, transparent analysis of energy costs and early prevention of overloads. Additionally, an integrated RCM module (Residual Current Monitoring) provides continuous monitoring of differential/residual currents, thereby increasing the operational safety of the entire IT infrastructure.
All measurement and status values can be displayed directly on the integrated 2.4" TFT color display or conveniently read out over the network. For integration into monitoring and management systems, two Ethernet interfaces (1 Gbit/s with PoE and 100 Mbit/s) are available. Using the cascading function, up to 20 PDUs can be linked into a group that can be managed centrally. In addition, a dedicated sensor port allows connection of external sensors, for example for temperature or humidity measurements.
Also in operation the BN PRO Metered is particularly maintenance-friendly: controller and power supply are hot-swappable and can be replaced without shutdown. Colored marking frames make it easier to identify A and B feeds in redundant power supplies. With 16 IEC-C13 and 4 IEC-C19 outlets, a CEE-16A supply cable (3 m) and a robust aluminum housing, the PDU is designed for reliable continuous operation in the rack. The combination of precise energy measurement, integrated residual current monitoring and extensive management functions provides maximum transparency in energy consumption and supports an efficient and secure IT infrastructure.
