FAQ - Häufig gestellte Fragen
What advantages does a 60-watt USB-C built-in charger offer in a motorhome?
Modern mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets and especially laptops require increasingly higher charging power to be charged quickly and efficiently. A permanently installed USB-C built-in charger with 60 watts Power Delivery offers the decisive advantage in a motorhome that even power-hungry devices can be charged directly from the on-board power system without the need for a separate inverter or an additional mains charger. The Comount USB-C built-in charger with open cable ends USB-C PD 60W (560022) supports PD 3.0 as well as numerous other fast-charging protocols such as QC 5, QC 4+, QC 3+, PPS and UFCS, so practically any modern device is supplied with optimal power. The input voltage of 12 to 24 volts DC makes the charger suitable for 12-volt on-board systems in motorhomes as well as 24-volt systems in larger vehicles and boats. With 60 watts output power, even laptops can be charged during active use, which is a real comfort gain on long trips and when working on the road. The five power levels from 15 to 60 watts automatically adapt to the connected device.
How easy is it to install the Comount built-in charger 560022?
Installation of the USB-C built-in charger is extremely simple and requires only a 27 mm diameter hole in the desired surface. The charger is compatible with the widely used switch ranges from Berker and Inprojal/CBE and can therefore be seamlessly integrated into existing installations without disturbing the overall appearance. The open cable ends with a length of 200 mm offer maximum flexibility for wiring and allow direct connection to the 12- or 24-volt on-board power system. With a mounting depth of 55 mm and a maximum panel thickness of 17 mm, the charger is suitable for most common installation situations in caravans, boats, yachts and furniture. The extremely low standby current of under 2 mA preserves the on-board battery even during prolonged vehicle inactivity and makes additional isolation switches unnecessary in most cases. The elegant front diameter of 36 mm blends discreetly into any surface.
For which applications is the 60W USB-C charger particularly suitable?
The versatile built-in charger is ideal for permanent installation in motorhomes, caravans, trailers, boats, yachts and also in stationary furniture such as desks, workshops or kitchen islands. Thanks to the wide operating temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees Celsius, the charger is also designed for extreme climatic conditions in southern or northern regions. The high service life of around 10,000 plug-in and unplug cycles ensures years of reliable operation without noticeable wear on the USB-C connector. Comount products are manufactured at production sites certified to the automotive standard IATF 16949 and meet all DIN and VDA standards for the automotive sector. The comprehensive certifications including CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH and the passed FMVSS 201 head impact test demonstrate the high quality and safety of the product. The integrated protection against short circuits, overvoltages and high temperatures ensures maximum operational safety in any installation situation.
