The RAM Mounts GDS IntelliSkin Tab Active Pro (RAM-GDS-SKIN-SAM54-NG-1) is a Next Gen charging protection case for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro, Active4 Pro and Active5 Pro. It offers reliable protection combined with a practical charging function. The integrated GDS connector is located in the inner frame of the case, so the device can be charged or continuously powered even while inserted. Additionally, the charging protection case features an external USB-C port, so the tablet can also be charged without a GDS docking station.
Thanks to the thoughtful design, the camera, buttons and ports remain usable. An integrated holder for the stylus is also provided. The IntelliSkin case is compatible with numerous GDS mounts and docking stations, making it ideal for professional use—whether in the vehicle, at the workplace or in mobile field service. Please note that the flash of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro is covered by the case; however, the camera remains fully usable.

How does the GDS charging function of the IntelliSkin case for the Tab Active Pro work?
The GDS connector is integrated into the inner frame of the case and establishes the connection between tablet and docking station. Data transfer of up to 5 Gbps in the USB 3.1 standard is enabled via the pogo pins. Alternatively, the tablet can be charged and connected via the external USB-C 2.0 port at up to 480 Mbps. This external port offers the advantage that the device can also be charged directly with a USB-C cable without a GDS docking station. For connecting GDS Uni-Conn the adjustable adapter RAM-GDS-U1AU is required, which is available separately.
What special features does the IntelliSkin case offer for the Samsung Tab Active5 Pro?
When used with the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro, note that the tablet's flash is covered by the protective case. However, the camera itself remains fully usable. This restriction applies only to the Active5 Pro model. On the Tab Active Pro and Active4 Pro models, all functions are accessible without restriction. The case features an integrated holder for the stylus and is compatible with the entire RAM Mounts GDS mounting system, including docking stations, vehicle mounts and accessory products such as the GDS Hand-Stand or the Roto-Mag Adapter.
