FAQ - Häufig gestellte Fragen
What is the Legrand Raritan iX Rack-PDU and who is it suitable for?
The Legrand Raritan iX Rack-PDU is an intelligent power distribution unit designed specifically for professional use in data centers, server rooms, and network cabinets. It combines precise energy metering, comprehensive remote management, and high reliability in a compact 0U form factor. With 36 outlets, divided into 18x C13 and 18x combined HDOT Cx sockets, the PDU reliably supplies power to numerous devices. The 3-phase 400V 32A input with a power capacity of 22.2 kVA makes it an ideal choice for demanding IT infrastructures. Administrators benefit from class 0.5 energy metering, which offers billing-grade accuracy and transparency of the power consumption of each individual outlet.
What management and monitoring options does the Rack-PDU offer?
The Legrand Raritan iX PDU offers extensive options for remote monitoring and management. Via protocols such as HTTP(S), SSH, SNMP v2/v3, JSON-RPC API, MODBUS-TCP, and Redfish API, the PDU can be seamlessly integrated into existing management systems. The integrated color LCD display with auto-flip function shows voltage, current, and power directly on the device. The power quality monitoring detects harmonic distortion, voltage sags, inrush current peaks, and the crest factor. Up to 32 PDUs can be cascaded via a single Ethernet port, greatly simplifying the management of large installations. Additionally, the PDU supports environmental sensors for temperature, humidity, airflow, and other parameters.
Why is the hot-swappable controller a decisive advantage?
The hot-swappable controller of the Legrand Raritan iX Rack-PDU allows the control unit to be replaced during operation without interrupting the power supply to connected devices. This is especially important in business-critical environments where downtime must be avoided. The controller features an embedded processor with at least a 536 MHz clock speed, 16 MB SPI flash, and 64 MB DDR2 RAM. With the ability to link up to 8 PDUs via the link port, the primary PDU also receives redundant power from the first expansion PDU. Automated provisioning via TFTP, DHCP, SSH, or USB flash drives speeds up deployment and minimizes configuration effort. With an operating temperature of up to 60 degrees Celsius at full load and CE certification, the PDU meets the highest requirements for reliability and safety.
